He didn't start this project to stay inside the lines; he did it to blur them completely, taking you way past the comfort zone of your everyday playlist. At the core of the Beyond the Threshold sound is a deep, infectious love for cumbia. Mark uses those rolling, tropical Latin American rhythms as his secret weapon to get bodies moving, but that's just the jumping-off point. One minute you're swaying to a heavy Afro-groove or an obscure global electronic track, and the next you're hit with the raw, gritty energy of rock or the smooth, unpredictable turns of jazz. It's a wild, global crates-digging session brought to life. Mark packs his sets with sounds from every corner of the map, fusing them into a seamless, high-energy trip where nothing is off-limits.
